Widows Welfare Project update

14 sep 10: Widows welfare project was started in June 2004 under the auspices of Al Khidmat foundation Gulberg Town Lahore. The objective of this project is to provide free assistance to the low income widows , having minor children. It also covers sick sole bread earners of the family , & neo muslims. In last 7 years Rs. 63 lac have been spent with the cooperation of local philanthropists. Presently 242 deserving families are being provided ration facility at the cost of Rs.3 Lac 63 thousand per month.The deserving families are also provided free medicine and dowry on their daughters marriage.

Public is requested to donate generously for the noble cause.

Flood Relief Fund
5 sep10: Malik Shahid Aslam Ameer-e-JI Gulberg Town Lahore & Major (R) Tariq Javed President AlKhidmat Foundation Gulberg Town Lahore presented a Cheque of Rs. 40 Lac in Flood Relief Fund to Syed Munawar Hassan Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan on behalf of AKF( Al-Khidmat Foundation ) in presences of Liquat Baloch Sec-Gen Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan & Ameer-ul-Azeem  Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore. AKF Gulberg Town had earlier presented 15 Lac in the said fund.

Free Montly Ration Support 
7 Sep 10 :  242 indigent families were distributed monthly ration package at the cost of Rs. 363000 . The disbursement was made ahead of scheduled date of 15th due to EID

EID Gift For old Age
8 Sep 10 : Major(R) Tariq Javed President AKF  Gulberg Town visited old age house "Darul Kafala" Bhatta Chowk Lahore Cantt with the team of  "DIN" TV channel  for EID recording .30 eid gifts were presented to the inmates to commemorate eid with them . The event was telecasted in " Fact with RANA"  on EID & following day.

Free medical treatement & medicine 
14 sep10: AKF Gulberg Town Lahore has made special arrangements for free medical treatment in Surrya Azeem hospital choburge chowk for the registered deserving residents of Gulberg Town. All expenditures will be borne by AKF Gulberg Town Lahore. Patients are requested to contact Major (R) Tariq on mobile.

Scholarship for technical education
14 sep 10 : AKF Gulberg Town Lahore intends extending scholar ship strictly on merit to the deserving students residing in Gulberg Town Lahore for Technical education in government institutions. The project has been delayed due to flood situation in the country.

Presently 210 deserving families are being provided ration facility at the cost of Rs.3 Lac 15 thousand per month.The deserving families are also provided free medicine and dowry on their daughters marriage.
